Defenseman Brooks Orpik underwent arthroscopic knee surgery and will miss several weeks, the Washington Capitals announced Tuesday.

Orpik, 38, has one goal and one assist in ten games for Washington this season.

Jonas Siegenthaler is expected to stay on the Caps roster in-place of Orpik, per The Washington Post's Isabelle Khurshudyan.

Orpik is expected to miss four-to-six weeks following the procedure on his right knee.
