These are stressful times and things were not looking too good for D.C. sports fans.

Over at Capital One Arena, the Washington Capitals were in overtime with the Hurricanes in Game 2 after twice seeing leads slip away.

In Southeast Washington at Nats Park, the Washington Nationals were down 2-1 to the Pirates in the 8th inning.

Yes, things were looking rather down on Saturday.

Then a little magic happened.

Brooks Orpik scored the game-winner for the Caps

Adam Eaton homered to right to tie the game before Howie Kendrick homered to left to give the Nats the lead.

Bingo bongo, D.C. sports was back in business.

After closer Sean Doolittle came in to close it out in the 9th and earn his first save of the season for the Nationals.

Saturday was no longer in danger of being ruined.
