Look, would a 305-foot superyacht really be worth using if it did not have a working Imax?

For Redskins owner Daniel Snyder the answer was pretty clear: Nope.

So Snyder made a “special and unusual request” when ordering his latest superyacht from the Dutch boatbuilder Feadship.

"He wanted an Imax, that was his main request,” Jan-Bart Verkuyl, chief executive of Feadship’s Royal Van Lent shipyard, told the Guardian. The special modification means Snyder owns the first seafaring private Imax movie theatre.

Verkuyl did not reveal the owner, but the Guardian was able to confirm Snyder and his wife Tanya bought the yacht – named Lady S – at a reported cost of more than $100 million.

The threatre modifications, which came at an additional cost of $3 million, is first superyacht to have an Imax. Verkuyl said, via the Guardian, the 12-seat, two-level Imax is so big "the vessel had to be built around the Imax."

The Lady S comes complete with "a fully certified helipad with Jet A fuel, four VIP suites each with 8k TVs, and facilities that cater to a wide range of sports including golf, basketball, volleyball and football," per Feadship.
