The 2019 Washington Nationals are a frustrating bunch: The bullpen, the base running, the managerial decisions, the strikeouts looking, the bullpen, the poor defense, the injuries, the runners left on base, and the bullpen, again.

Understandably, Nats fans are exasperated beyond belief.

And then there is 106.7 The Fan's Chris Russell on Overtime after Washington's 6-4 loss to the New York Mets Thursday after another late-inning bullpen meltdown

"There is no doubt that the Nationals miss Bryce Harper," the Rooster begins his epic rant. "The bottom line is, he cannot make up for a 13+ ERA in this game. He cannot make up for Yan Gomes forgetting how to catch! He came here from Cleveland with like a 72 percent rate throwing guys out and no passed balls and every inning is a passed ball, if not two. And I'm tired of it!"

But Russell was just warming up: "And Brian Dozier go back to wherever the hell you came from because you stink, too, because you didn't back-up Yan Gomes, who stinks, and you can't field. And OK, you hit a home run every once in a while and you run into one. Congratulations!

"And while you're at it, take Wander Suero with you. And while you're at it take Kyle Barraclough, ship him back to Miami, who is coming here and all of the sudden Miami's better than the Nationals."

And then the man known around these parts as the Rooster went full Chicken Little: "So we're doomed! Bryce Harper... 18 Bryce Harpers could show up (Friday) night at Nationals Park, we're doomed! We're done! It's over! It's extinct!"

The sky is falling on the 19-31 Washington Nationals? THE SKY IS FALLING!!!!!
