It's hard to find someone who can lower the boom on a deserving recipient more swiftly than radio host Jim Rome.

In under a minute, Rome – in a RADIO.COM "Sports Minute" which aired Friday on 106.7 The Fan – perfectly synopsized the utter senselessness of Seahawks cornerback Quinton Dunbar, who has a warrant out for his arrest for armed robbery with a firearm.

Just hours after the alleged incident occurred, Dunbar faced Seattle reporters in a virtual press conference, where he professed his gratitude to the Seahawks organization for acquiring him in a trade with Washington. Unbeknownst to the reporters at the time, Dunbar was a wanted man as he sat before them.

"In an earlier minute, I talked about New York Giant, Deandre Baker, possibly being involved in an armed robbery attempt," Rome began. "He also had a wingman, and that wingman was Seattle Seahawk, Quinton Dunbar. Seattle acquired him in a trade with Washington earlier in the offseason and yesterday he spoke with the media during an introductory press conference.

"Among other things, he said, quote, 'You just want to feel wanted at the end of the day. I just hope to repay them with the way I carry myself as a person.'"

"He said that hours before a warrant was issued for his arrest," said Rome. "That has to be the greatest introductory press conference ever. Eugene Robinson getting busted for solicitation – just hours after receiving the Bart Starr Award for exemplifying outstanding character and leadership – is stunned by Dunbar's actions.

"Given what reportedly happened the night before, how in the world did he say that with a straight face? I'm Jim Rome."

In. Out. Right back to his morning coffee.
