Wall complains about fouls, Wiz lose on Friday again

Bill Streicher-USA TODAY Sports
The Wizards must really hate playing on Fridays.
Scott Brooks' charges have trotted out to play six times this year on Friday nights. They have lost all six times.
The Wiz, who have struggled to play well no matter the day of the week, fell to 8-14 on the season with a disappointing 123-98 loss in Philadelphia.
“They outplayed us,” Brooks said after the game.
37-19 76ers less than 90 seconds into the second quarter.

I've never seen a team fall behind by at least 20 so often in the first halves of games like the Wizards keep doing

Sixers should sit the starters just to make this interesting.

John Wall, who has spent much of the year beefing with NBA referees and ESPN's Stephen A. Smith, received his fifth technical foul of the year in the second quarter.
John Wall drives to the rim and scoops in underhanded layup to cut the lead to nine. Wants a foul, slaps his hands toward official and gets T'd up.

Fred Katz tweeted: "John Wall isn't in the best mood tonight."
Wall's mood did not improve after the game.
When asked if the refs gave him an explanation for the technical, Wall replied: "How many free throws did I shoot today?"
The answer: two.
"There's your answer," Wall said. "I got a tech for clapping my hands."
“I have nothing to say to them. I have nothing to say to them,” Wall said about NBA officials. “I have no respect for them. Simple as that. I get the same excuse every time. Just because I’m stronger than everybody I don’t get those calls. I have no respect for them. They do their job. I do my job. I have nothing to say about them or nothing nice to say towards them.”
The #Wizards are looking for calls and not letting it go when they don't get 'em.
Energy displaced. Deficit still in the double digits.

"We’re having trouble getting off to a good start," Brooks said. "We couldn't get anything going."
After the game, Nick Ashooh went with the "poop emoji."

Fortunately for Wall and the Wizards, there is no game next Friday.
Twenty-two games down, 60 remaining in the 2018-19 season.
