Kirk Cousins has one last gift to give Redskins fans. Well, it is not a gift from Cousins directly, but it will be awarded on his behalf.

The Redskins will receive a compensatory pick at the end of the third round in the 2019 NFL Draft because Cousins' signed a $84 million guaranteed deal with the Minnesota Vikings last offseason, per's projection.

This is the highest round possible for a compensatory pick based on the NFL's formula and will likely be the 97th overall pick in the draft.

In total, Washington is due to receive three of the 32 compensatory picks awarded by the NFL. The Redskins will get a pick at the end of the fifth round after losing outside linebacker Trent Murphy and a sixth-round pick for wide receiver Ryan Grant.

Now all that is left is for Redskins fans to tell Kirk Cousins thank you.
