Adrian Peterson's bag of tricks is way bigger than we gave him credit for. And it results in another Redskins' treat.

Washington got on the board first on Sunday by hitting Adrian Peterson on a short pass, getting the ball in his hands and asking him to break a few tackles on the way to pay dirt.

The result: no problem:

This marks the 108th touchdown of his illustrious career, but only his sixth receiving score. Better yet, it was his first receiving touchdown since 2013 with the Minnesota Vikings.

Bonus good news: After injuring his shoulder against the Saints, it looked like Peterson's role in the passing game would be greatly diminished. By showing that Peterson can still be a threat on any down, in any situation, the Redskins offense can stay multi-dimensional with him on the field. For an offense still struggling to find its footing, this is excellent news.
