Evgeny Kuznetsov was lost for the Capitals in Game 2 of the Stanley Cup Final when he was hit hard by Brayden McNabb along the bench and boards area, late in the first period here at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

He immediately appeared to grab his wrist or lower arm area. Here is a video clip of the hit.

He did not return for the rest of the first period or after, and was replaced on the top-line at center by Nick Backstrom, who is currently playing with Alex Ovechkin and Tom Wilson.

Capitals public relations, through their official Twitter account released a statement saying that Kuznetsov is questionable to return with an upper-body injury. Despite the designation, he did not return.

The Capitals lead the Golden Knights 3-2 as Alex Ovechkin scored on a power play assisted by Backstrom and a pretty feed from Lars Eller, who scored the Caps first goal. Eller was involved with all three points through the second quarter.
