Give rookie Derrius Guice a lot of credit: he has endeared himself to D.C. sports fans before ever taking a snap in the NFL.

Shortly after being drafted by the Washington Redskins (second round, 59th overall pick), the running back arranged for fans to watch Avengers: Infinity War at a movie theater in Ashburn, Va. He covered the costs and provided everyone with a signed rookie card.

Now, at a time when he is still trying to make the best impression on his new coaches during OTA's, Guice made it downtown to support the Washington Capitals at the Capital One Arena.

He even rocked the red and posted a picture to Twitter:

Guice is a guy who came in with (what is believed to be) a lot of unfair or unfounded "character concerns." It was up to him to reset the script in Washington, and he has gone out of his way to set the record straight with his new fans.

Good for him, and hopefully he can also back it up on the field.
