Orlando Scandrick knows he made the right decision in coming to Washington this offseason. Now he wants his old teammate, Dez Bryant, to follow suit.

As a guest on NFL Network show Total Access, Scandrick said Bryant still has a lot left in the tank and the ability to prove the Cowboys wrong for letting him go.

"I know Dez can still catch touchdowns," he said, explaining why Washington was the perfect fit for Bryant. "I know he can still be a great red zone threat, and I would love to play with him again."

Bryant's reputation as a playmaker is somewhat outdated, as he is four years removed from a 1,000-yard season or a double-digit touchdown season. As the TV series All or Nothing revealed, Bryant went through long dry spells last year and had a frustrating case of the drops.

Drops are not an official statistic, so validating the numbers can be challenging, but Bryant consistently ranks in the top-10 of the NFL, if not top-three. On the other hand, Bryant was paid in Dallas to be the focal point of the offense, which means he got targets you might expect for a top receiver. With more opportunities come more drops.

Wherever Bryant lands, he will not be the top receiver. The longer he waits to sign, the more teams will have to get him up to speed in the offense, which also limits his impact in 2018.

The Redskins have not been rumored to have serious interest in bringing Bryant aboard, but Scandrick understands Bryant's desire to play his old team at least twice each season.

"I think a factor in choosing Washington was just the familiarity with the division, and not having to learn the players and the league all over again," Scandrick explained. "But it definitely was a bit of a factor that I can go back to Dallas and play against guys I spent my whole career with."
