Washington Capitals winger Tom Wilson is a very good hockey player, but he is a great fighter.

Why do opposing players keep fighting him?

On Wednesday night, Wilson and Braydon Coburn spent two minutes in the penalty box, which was just long enough to stew up the urge to fight.

The officials made the mistake of letting them out of the box at the same time, where they immediately tangled at center ice, dropped sticks and gloves and started bludgeoning each other:

Compared to most Wilson fights, this one lasted an eternity, but Coburn still took a beating, especially after Wilson punched the helmet off his head.

After that, it was just a matter of time until Wilson flattened him:

Here is a good look at the fight:

Take another look at that massive haymaker:

There is a certain delicious carnage about a fight like that. There is also a case to be made for not wanting to miss Wilson for seven straight minutes of play.

At least he did it after the Caps got a 1-0 lead.

Wilson was the unquestioned winner of this fight, but his hand looked like he got in a fight with a helmet:

Why do people still fight Tom Wilson? Do not fight Tom Wilson.
