Redskins awarded four more picks in NFL Draft
The final pick of Kirk Cousins' Washington career arrived Friday. And finally, it was one Redskins fans could celebrate.
The Redskins will receive the top compensatory pick in the 2019 NFL Draft after losing Cousins in free agency after the 2017 NFL season, per 106.7 The Fan's Craig Hoffman.
Washington will net a third-round pick (96th overall) as compensation for losing the quarterback to the Minnesota Vikings.
In total, the Redskins will receive four of the 32 compensatory picks awarded by the NFL. They will get a pick at the end of the fifth round (173rd overall) after losing outside linebacker Trent Murphy, a sixth-round pick for wide receiver Ryan Grant (206th overall), and a seventh-round pick (253rd overall) for losing tight end/fullback Niles Paul.
The Redskins now have nine selections to make in the 2019 draft, with the first being the No. 15 overall selection.
Who will they take? That's anybody's guess.
