Another image of Alex Smith was posted Wednesday.

Elizabeth Smith, wife of the Washington Redskins quarterback, posted the image from the Center for the Intrepid at Brooke Army Medical Center located on Fort Sam Houston in Texas.

"Thank you to everyone at CFI for an incredible couple of days," she wrote. "Truly life changing and such an honor. Until we meet again."

“Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts.” - Winston Churchill Thank you to everyone at CFI for an incredible couple of days. Truly life changing and such an honor. Until we meet again.

Smith is pictured wearing what appears to be an external fixator on his right leg.

The Center for the Intrepid is a rehab facility for wounded soldiers who have sustained amputation, burns, or limb loss and provides state-of-the-art amputee care to assist patients as they return to the highest levels of physical, psychological, and emotional function. The facility is also used to promote research in the fields of Orthopaedics, prosthetics, and physical and occupational rehabilitation, per the BAMC site.

One image smith posted included an inscription: "The Center is dedicated to our severely wounded military heroes, whose selfless sacrifices for our nation entitle them to the best rehabilitative care."

Smith, who was last seen in public at a Wizards game in January, has been a rare site in public and on social media since suffering a potentially career-ending injury in November.
