The pick is in and the Redskins got their man.

With the No. 15 pick in the 2019 NFL Draft, Washington went with the local guy and selected Ohio State quarterback Dwayne Haskins.

And there was plenty of reaction.

At the Redskins D.C. watch party there was pandemonium.

“I’m very happy we got a hometown guy," Redskins fan Patrick Morrison told 106.7 The Fan. "I’m glad we didn’t trade our picks for him.”

"I’m very happy we got a hometown guy. I’m glad we didn’t trade our picks for him," Morrison added.

At the Haskins watch party it was slightly more subdued.

The reaction on Twitter? Well, it was all over the place.

The Sports Junkies' Eric Bickel hinted at the divisions among the Redskins football people and ownership.

While, Redskins players were excited.

And, former Redskins quarterbacks, too.

But not ever Redskin fan at the party was so excited.

“I feel like we needed a lineman. It wasn’t the sexy pick. We need someone for the future," Mikey Earbery told 106.7 The Fan.

"You know the situation at quarterback. I’m not disappointed. I would have preferred an offensive lineman," Nick Hodgson said. "The fact that we’re desperate for a quarterback, (the pick is) pretty smart.”

And Haskins is definitely not without his risks.

Not all former Redskins players were sold on the Haskins pick, however.

Overall, there is still a lot to unpack when it comes to the first round pick.

But, overall, there is a lot to like with Haskins coming to Washington.

“I’m elated," Skins fan Dana Romano said. "We’ve got two quarterbacks that broke legs last year. We need one for the future. The kid looks like the real deal.”
