Redskins linebacker Ryan Kerrigan and left tackle Trent Williams were named to the 2019 Pro Bowl roster Tuesday.

This will be Kerrigan's fourth trip to the Pro Bowl and his third consecutive trip. Kerrigan got off to a slow start statistically this season, but after a two sack performance against Jacksonville, has now tallied 11 on the year. The 30-year-old became the second player in Redskins history with double-digit sacks in three straight seasons.

“He's one of the best pros we have in here, you know, as far as work ethic (and) taking care of his body,” Washington head coach Jay Gruden said about Kerrigan. “Obviously, if you look at him, you can see that. He works extremely hard in practice. We do take a little bit off of him from time to time. That's just because we ask him to. He never volunteers that, but, yeah, he is just a great worker. I think he's one of those guys that can play for a long time because he takes care of his body, works extremely hard."

This will be the seventh-straight year Williams has been selected to the NFL's all-star game, which ties Ken Houston for most consecutive Pro Bowls in a Redskins uniform.

Safety D.J. Swearinger, cornerback Josh Norman, punter Tress Way, kicker Dustin Hopkins, running back Adrian Peterson, and tight end Jordan Reed were all selected as alternates.
