Just two weeks after wrapping up their 2017-18 NHL season with a franchise-first Stanley Cup Championship, the Washington Capitals are already focused on who they play next year.

Get the full 2018-19 schedule here, because we're just looking at seven games of can't-miss hockey:

10/03/18 vs. Boston Bruins: Caps start off their title defense at home against the Bruins. It should be an electric atmosphere as the banner gets raised.

10/04/18 at Pittsburgh Penguins: Caps immediately head out on the road to tangle with their biggest rivals, who they beat in the playoff quarterfinals.

10/10/18 vs. Golden Knights: This should be a fun next chapter in the unlikely grudge match with their Stanley Cup foes.

11/07/18 vs. Pittsburgh Penguins:  Caps-Pens is perhaps the best rivalry for any D.C. sports team right now. This one will not disappoint.

01/18/19 vs. New York Islanders: With news of Barry Trotz taking over coaching duties for the New York Islanders, this will be first trip back to D.C.

03/16/19 vs. Tampa Bay: This is the first of three times they will face the Lightning in two weeks, and this will also be the first since eliminating them in the 2017-18 playoffs.

04/07/19 vs. New York Islanders: The Trotz connection has already been stated, but hosting their old coach on the last day of the regular season could be very interesting.
