Juan Soto went 2-for-2 with three walks and an RBI in the first game of a Tuesday doubleheader against the Braves.

It's been that kind of day in that kind of season (one that nearly didn't happen at all) for Soto, Washington's 19-year-old Rookie of the Year candidate whom some believe may already be the best teenage hitter in Major League history

Which makes it a shame that anyone might try to take away from his potentially historic accomplishments, least of all someone in the visiting television booth.

With Soto at bat in the bottom of the seventh, Braves announcer Joe Simpson just wondered aloud on the Fox Sports Southeast telecast: "And he is... if he's 19, he has certainly got his man growth. He is big and strong."

Soto opened the second game of the doubleheader by lifting an opposite field home run to left off of Sean Newcomb.
