The Nationals got the band back together to rewatch Game 7 of the 2019 World Series while raising over $200,000 for Ryan Zimmerman's Pros For Heroes, a coalition of athletes looking to make a difference for healthcare workers on the front lines of the COVID-19 crisis.

Joined together via Zoom and broadcast out to the world on Facebook Live, the championship squad was in full force, with even Brian Dozier and Anthony Rendon making appearances, albeit Rendon for but a brief jaunt.

Color us surprised that Dozier – who's now with the Padres – turned out to be the star of the show.

It was Dozier who broke out the trash can, trolling the Astros for their 2017 cheating scandal, to tip off Juan Soto as their rewatch reached the top of the eighth inning. Soto crushed a liner to right off Roberto Osuna, scoring Adam Eaton for a 4-2 Nationals lead.

"Juan, I gotchu," Dozier said, breaking out the trash can on the Zoom and rapping it two times with a spatula, causing Sean Doolittle to cover his head with his shirt in embarrassment.

"Take his camera away," Trea Turner shouted.

"No, it's fine," Zimmerman said. "He's on the Padres. So the Padres GM will be getting calls tomorrow. (Nats GM Mike Rizzo) won't even have to get called, so it's good."

It was at this point when Ryan Zimmerman asked Soto to share what he uttered to Houston catcher Robinson Chirinos before receiving the 1-0 fastball he knocked into right.

"Juan, you took the first pitch, you did your shimmy, and then you said something to Chirinos," Zimmerman prompted. "What did you say to Chirinos?"

"When," asked Soto. "Right there?"

"Eighth inning, 1-0. It looked like it was a changeup, maybe," said Zimmerman. "You took it and then you proceeded to absolutely rip a fastball to right field. What did you say to Chirinos before that?"

"He just told me, 'Hey, you passed it,'" Soto recalled. "And I'm like, 'No? Watchu mean?' I'd been talking to him the whole game. I'm trying to get on his mind."

"Yeah? You like to get into his head," Zimmerman asked.

"Yeah. He's trying. He's like, 'Oh, you don't do that. Oh, you did bah-bah-bah-bah,'" Soto said. "I said throw the changeup again. And he threw the fastball. What an idiot."
