Thursday's Mystics game at Capital One Arena is now free, and the game will be immediately followed by a free viewing party for Game 5 of the Stanley Cup Final.

Monumental Sports & Entertainment announced changes to the arena's itinerary on Tuesday afternoon, following the Caps' Game 4 victory over the Vegas Golden Knights the night before. Those changes, detailed as they are, clear up confusion by some fans as to how Capital One Arena would handle the transition between the two audiences.

If you already purchased tickets directly from the Mystics (for the Thursday, June 7 game against the Lynx, which was previously rescheduled for 4 p.m. to accommodate the Caps viewing party), you will be automatically refunded. Those tickets will remain valid for entry. If you purchased tickets from a secondary vendor, contact that vendor directly, as some are also issuing full refunds. Doors open at 3 p.m. for the Mystics game.

After the game, Mystics attendees will be permitted to remain in their seats for the Caps Game 5 viewing party. That game is scheduled for 8 p.m. No reentry will be permitted into Capital One Arena for either the Mystics game or the Caps viewing party. So, if you have Mystics tickets and want to stay to see the Caps, you'll literally have to stay, but that option is available.

Tickets (limited to two per person) for the Caps viewing party will be available here beginning at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, June 6. Seating is general admission and on a first come, first served basis. Admission will be processed at the F Street and Gallery Place entrances. Caps fans are encouraged to arrive early, as general admission seating is limited and does not guarantee entry into Capital One Arena.

Game 5 will also be broadcast outside the arena, on video boards located at G Street and 8th Street NW, beginning at 8 p.m. Tickets are not required for outdoor viewing.

The first 15,000 fans will receive a Capitals rally towel.
