'The Ride,' featuring Chad Dukes of 106.7 The Fan, goes down Friday at Nationals Park.

After double-booking Dukes with Katie Ledecky to throw out the first pitch, the Nationals made a kindhearted gesture last week in sending Screech over to deliver a message: that Dukes was invited to be the first person to ride the new bullpen cart at Nats Park.

"I can now confirm that this Friday at Nationals Park, on Aug. 31, Big Shooter, after the second inning, will be driven around the park in the bullpen cart with my big fat ass hanging off the back," Duke informed his listeners on Monday.

"So if you would like to see that, and be a part of this historical moment, come on out to the Nationals game on Friday," he said. "I could use all the support that I can get.

"There are going to be detractors. There are going to be people that are not happy that I am there. The Nationals, though, have been very gracious in making this happen. First of all, look at me. I need to be riding around in a seated position, not throwing a ball for somebody. Everyone knows that."

Dukes has requested to ride out to David Allan Coe's "The Ride," along with two Devils Backbone Earned Run Ales "that I can smash together, and then pour down the front of myself like Stone Cold Steve Austin."

"Those are my stipulations," he said. "And those are the only stipulations that I have."
