The Redskins are receiving almost unanimous praise for their 2019 draft class, in particular their selection of Ohio State quarterback Dwayne Haskins with the 15th overall pick.

For NFL.com's Bucky Brooks, Haskins and the Redskins are the perfect marriage.

In his rankings of the "ten best fits between team and draft pick" from the 2019 NFL Draft, Brooks declared Dwayne Haskins going to Washington No. 1.

"Redskins owner Daniel Snyder resisted the temptation to mortgage the farm to grab his QB1 in the top 10," Brooks wrote. "He was rewarded for his patience when Haskins inexplicably fell to him in the middle of the first round, giving the team a classic drop-back passer with outstanding arm talent and an array of throws reminiscent of an MLB pitcher (relying on touch, timing and anticipation) that will test the speed, discipline and reaction skills of opposing defenses."

"Although it might take him a year or so to settle in as the QB1, Haskins gives the Redskins a long-term answer at the position."

Experts besides Brooks have also set the expectations quite high for Haskins. Eric Edholm told The Sports Junkies Monday he expects Haskins to start for the Redskins in Week 1, while Nate Burleson said he'd hypothetically start Dwayne Haskins over Eli Manning.

We won't know if Haskins was the right choice until he actually plays for the Redskins, but the buzz is undoubtedly growing for D.C.'s newest QB.
