Washington Capitals fans will never grow tired of discussing and dissecting the Caps' first Stanley Cup title run. But for Evgeny Kuznetsov, having the same conversation about last season all summer has gotten a little old.

"I've been tired (since) probably two months ago," Kuznetsov said on Tuesday's 'Grant & Danny' broadcast. "Everyone want to keep talking about that, it is hard to get away from that. I mean, if you don't want to talk about that (don't) win the Cup, right? And if you won, you have to deal with it."

Following a "pretty hard summer" of telling the same story over and over, Kuznetsov, who tallied 83 points in the regular season and another 32 in the playoffs, welcomes the pressure that comes from Capitals fans' high expectations.

"After every summer... I want to get better, that's the pressure you need sometimes and always have that pressure in my back. So, I want to play better," he said. "The way we finished last year, we all have to start the same way, the same level. If you're not gonna play the same way we finished last year, the fans, the people are gonna pressure us... and the only way you can get away from that is (to) play right away."

Kuznetsov also had high praise for his compatriot and line mate Alex Ovechkin.

"I started understanding that's maybe the biggest player in our generation right now and (it is) a pleasure to play with him," Kuznetsov said. "You can learn a lot, and you can actually try and teach him a little bit and he (will) still listen. It is not easy to talk to sometimes with the superstars, but Ovi, he is not that type of guy."

Afterward, the native Russian speaker was happy the conversation was flub free.
