106.7 The Fan Redskins beat reporter Craig Hoffman is in Indianapolis for the 2019 NFL Combine. Each day, Craig will provide analysis on a prospect the Redskins should consider taking with the No. 15 overall selection in April's NFL Draft:

OLB Montez Sweat (Mississippi State)

Height: 6'6"
Weight: 240 lbs
Redshirt Senior

Insider's Take: Montez Sweat was the standout star of The Senior Bowl and now comes to Indianapolis hoping to continue his rise in a crowded crop of edge rushers. Sweat isn't built like most edge players. He's taller, standing 6'6", and scouts say that difference stands out on tape. He has all the traits teams look for: he's got speed, power and can bend despite his height, but it all looks somewhat awkward to see come together. How it looks is secondary to how effective it is, which is hyper effective. That's why the Redskins would do quite well to replace one Mississippi St. edge rusher -- Preston Smith, likely departing in free agency -- with another should Sweat drop to 15.
