George Washington University's Charles E. Smith Center made headlines Tuesday after photos surfaced of the jumbotron resting on the gym floor.

According to the university, the jumbotron was initially lowered due to maintenance, but then unexpectedly collapsed to the floor.

Thankfully, no one was injured, except perhaps for the scoreboard's pride.

The U.S. women's basketball team had played a game against Japan at the Smith Center the night before the jumbotron collapsed, the 5,000-seat arena also recently hosting Washington Mystics playoff games.

The Smith Center is supposed to host a GW women's volleyball match on Friday, but a university spokesperson told the Washington Post: "The scene is being assessed right now. We don’t know what, if any, damage was done."
