Safety Ha Ha Clinton-Dix is moving on from the Redskins after inking a one-year deal with the Chicago Bears.

The 26-year-old joined the Redskins on a mid-season trade from Green Bay, where he'd been drafted as a first-rounder in 2014. He would play nine games in a Redskins uniform, recording 56 total tackles with three pass deflections and one forced fumble.

New Redskins safety Landon Collins spoke Thursday of trying to reconnect with Clinton-Dix, his teammate at Alabama, in Washington. It looks like Clinton-Dix chose another former teammate instead.

The Redskins gave up a fourth-round pick to acquire Clinton-Dix. Now that he's left via free agency, they're in line to get a compensatory pick in return – likely a fourth-rounder in 2020.

The news did not seem to please Redskins Senior VP of Player Personnel Doug Williams.
