We're inside the final four...

The Capitals try to advance to the final round and, man, did they ever.

Our countdown of the "Great 8" moments of the Caps' road to the Stanley Cup continues.

Moment 4

The Caps already had two wins in Tampa to open the Eastern Conference Final, and stayed alive in Game 6 with a dominating effort at home. They just needed one more huge performance to bring the thunder down on the Lightning and send the "Bolts" home for the summer.

The Caps started early and never let up.

Tom Wilson cleanly plastered Chris Kunitz at center ice, forcing a turnover. Evgeny Kuznetsov scooped the puck before Wilson got it again.

Wilson rushed up the right wing before dropping it neatly again to Kuznetsov, who spotted Alex Ovechkin along the opposite side of the ice.

The captain ripped a shot -- not totally clean -- that beat Andrei Vasilevskiy 1:02 into the first period and Washington was off to the races.

From there, it was not one but two goals by Andre Burakovsky, who was benched earlier in the series. And the Caps never looked back.

Nick Backstrom finished off the 4-0 dismantling as the Caps closed out a third-straight series on the road, advancing to the Stanley Cup Final for the first time since 1998!
