T.J. Oshie may not play another game for the Capitals in these playoffs, but he's not letting that deter him from keeping his spirits up.

The Caps forward, who left Game 4 with an upper-body injury that's likely to sideline him for the remainder of the playoffs, is trying to light a fire under a Caps' fanbase that's had to watch its team drop two straight games in their first-round series with the Hurricanes. That series is now tied 2-2.

Both teams have defended their home ice thus far in the series. A game 6 is assured, but a Caps win Saturday would make it an elimination game, forcing Carolina's back up against the ropes and giving the Caps a chance to avoid a Game 7.

"Thanks to everyone for the get well wishes," Oshie wrote on Twitter Saturday. "I'm in good hands with our training staff, doctors and especially mama bear at home with her 2 little helpers. DC I need you to make some noise tonight for my boys. I want to hear you through the TV."

Oshie was injured Thursday when he was shoved into the boards by Carolina forward Warren Foegele with just over five minutes to play in the third period. With his back to Foegele and just out of reach of the boards, Oshie was rendered defenseless as the crosscheck sent him careening into the boards shoulder first. Oshie left the game and did not return.

Foegele was neither suspended nor fined by the NHL, which saw the two-minute minor he was assessed in game for boarding as just punishment.
