After shutting out the Lightning 4-0 in Game 7, the Capitals, for the first time in 20 years, are advancing to the Stanley Cup Final.

Which means Jason Bishop -- who predicted Wednesday before the game that the Caps would assuredly "break our hearts tonight" -- has some crow to eat.

"I hear everyone hates me in D.C. this morning," Bishop told his Sports Junkies co-hosts over the phone Thursday morning.

"Yes, I was wrong. And yes, I owe my bookie $989," he said. "And, you know what? I'm glad to pay him, because that was awesome to watch last night."

That last line was an admission in itself; Bishop had said he was so confident the Caps would lose, "I'm not going to watch the game."

"I watched the second period and the third period at my one of my favorite bars, Passion Fin," he said.
