Redskins video assistant Jack Gruden, the 22-year-old son of Redskins head coach Jay Gruden, was arrested on a drunk in public charge in Ashburn early Saturday morning.

A Loudoun County Sheriff's Office patrolman made the arrest after spotting Gruden in an argument with another male at the corner of Exchange and Thorndike Streets at 2:15 a.m.

The officer observed them separate and then Gruden follow the male to continue the confrontation, at which point the officer intervened, separating the men. Gruden was later involved in two additional confrontations with customers in the are, police say.

"We are aware of the arrest of Jack Gruden," the Redskins told 106.7 The Fan in a statement. " We are gathering more information and will not comment until we have further details."

Gruden was released from the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center on a personal recognizance bond.
