Max Scherzer suffered a broken nose after being struck in the face by a deflected ball during a bunting drill Tuesday at Nationals Park.

Scherzer, who was scheduled to start one game of Washington's doubleheader against the Phillies Wednesday, is currently TBD, the Nationals say.

MASN cameras captured the incident. You can see the ball catch the side of the bat and change trajectories, squirting right back into Scherzer's face.

Scherzer was examined off-site, undergoing a CAT scan, which came back negative.
