The Washington Nationals announced a two-year deal with the Fresno Grizzlies to serve as their Triple-A affiliate on Tuesday. The move came after the New York Mets reached an agreement to buy the Syracuse Chiefs, who had acted as the Triple-A home of the Nats since 2009.

The distance between Washington and Fresno will complicate matters for the Nats, as there are no direct flights from Fresno Yosemite International Airport and any airport on the east coast.

However, the last two teams who have partnered with Fresno (the Giants and Astros) have won four titles since 2010.
