Another day, another soul-crushing Nationals loss.

Sunday night against the Cubs, Max Scherzer gave the Nats seven innings of pure dominance, allowing no runs and striking out 11. However, the Nats fell apart in the bottom of the ninth, Ryan Madson surrendering a walk-off grand slam to David Bote to gift Chicago a 4-3 win.

It was just the latest in a string of heart-breaking defeats for the Nats, who remain 5.5 games back of the Phillies in the NL East. And as you would expect, Nats Twitter unloaded its frustration and exasperation after seeing Washington let another game slips through its hands.

Scherzer himself summed it up perfectly post-game.
