The Baltimore Ravens have reached a one-year agreement with former Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III.

The 28-year-old last played for the Browns in 2016, passing for 886 yards, two touchdowns and three interceptions in five games. Prior, Griffin was in Washington for four seasons. He did not sign with a team in 2017.

The second overall selection in 2012, Griffin led the Redskins to the playoffs in his rookie season and was named NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year.

"He came in last week, worked out, had a real good workout," Ravens GM Ozzie Newsome said in a press conference Wednesday announcing the deal. "And we were able to come to an agreement late yesterday. He will probably be here early next week to sign the deal."
