The Redskins are coming off a 7-9 campaign in 2018 which was derailed after starter Alex Smith went down with a gruesome leg injury in Week 11 against the Texans. Prior to that, the Redskins were 6-3 and in line to earn a playoff spot. Instead, they missed the playoffs for the third straight year.
