What's to blame for the Redskins' diminishing attendance figures?

Chad Dukes attempted to tackle this topic, among others raging in Redskins Nation, by putting the question to his 106.7 The Fan listeners.

The Redskins are 6-3 and winning the NFC East, and it still isn't enough to draw a sellout crowd. What's the deal?

Dukes took exception to one caller in particular, Mike in Arlington, for saying simply accruing wins just isn't enough.

Mike in Arlington: You know, I've been thinking about this for a while. This argument isn't new, of course, it's just gotten worse this year. You bring up a good point. This is a rich area, people got a lot of money, other people want to be here. Uh, yeah. But I'm not rich, I'm comfortable. But I'm not going to spend my money -- I got to the games. I go to games with my daughter. We go to 2-3 games a year. And I don't mind spending the money, but I don't want to spend it on something that's not worth it.

Dukes: They're 6-3. How are they not worth it if they're number one in their division?

Mike: It's not about winning, man. It's about entertainment. It's so freaking boring.

Dukes: Here we go. I want people to hear this. This is a Washingtonian fan, what just happened there. It's not about winning. It's about entertainment. Please isolate that. I got that call yesterday, too. They've got to whoo me back with their amenities. You're lying! You're lying. You're not being honest. If they were 8-1, we wouldn't be having this conversation. It's about winning!
