It's hard to draw many conclusions from rookie minicamp, but as far as first impressions go, Redskins quarterback Dwayne Haskins is making quite a good one.

On with The Sports Junkies Monday, John Keim said Haskins had an impressive, commanding "presence" on the field, even in practice.

"It's just a first impression, and it's not anything more than that, because you're working with rookies, you're going against rookies," said Keim. "But I think there are things that you want to see, and I think from our perspective and from their perspective."

"And what you see is the kid has a presence out there. He's a big guy, but he definitely ... has the skillset that you saw in college, and that's what we saw up close," he added. "You could see the arm, the arm talent as they say."

While Haskins made his share of mistakes, Keim says the Redskins were impressed by the "anticipation" throws Haskins made.

"With any rookie, there's going to be things you say, 'Ok, that was really good,' and some other things 'Ok, he was off here,' but that's normal," Keim told the Junkies.

"And I think what you want to see — and I know one of the things they wanted to see because I talked to somebody afterwards — he threw with some anticipation, and that was one of the things that they wanted to see from him coming out of college. And they saw that more, and I think that pleased them."
