The Redskins have released cornerback Josh Norman, the team announced on Friday. In doing so, Washington saves $12.5 million against the Cap while incurring $3 million in dead cap money.

Grant Paulsen initially confirmed the news for 106.7 The Fan.

Norman, 32, spent four seasons with the Redskins after signing a five-year, $75 million deal with the team in April 2016.

Mike Garafolo of NFL Network was first to report.
