The Washington Redskins were able to trade back in the second round, picking up a third-round pick in the process, and still draft LSU running back Derrius Guice.

The Redskins drafted Guice with the 59th overall selection, 15 spots back from where they were originally slated to pick in the second round.

As Washington ticked onto the clock at 44, a trade was announced. The Redskins swapped second-rounders with the 49ers (details here).

In drafting Guice, they were able to have their cake and eat it, too.
