The Redskins made roster moves on Tuesday, parting with former seventh-round pick Joshua Holsey.

The 24-year-old corner spent the entire season on the non-football injury (NFI) list with a foot injury and had recently returned to practice. Waiving him creates a roster spot the Redskins could use to activate wide receiver Trey Quinn from Injured Reserve. Quinn was designated for return last week and is eligible to return to the active roster as of Monday.

Running back Byron Marshall is the only other Redskin eligible to return from IR after he was designated on Oct. 31, though Jay Gruden said Monday it's unlikely he will return this week. Gruden said Quinn will be activated Wednesday or Thursday.

The Redskins officially placed offensive tackle Geron Christian on IR. The rookie suffered a torn MCL in Sunday's win over Tampa Bay.

Washington also terminated the contract of practice squad back Mack Brown and signed center Casey Dunn to the practice squad.
