Somewhere, hidden in a sea of red at the Capitals' Stanley Cup championship parade Tuesday, was a fan marrying two unforgettable life moments.

Josh in D.C., a caller into 106.7 The Fan's 'Grant & Danny Show' on Wednesday, explained.

"It's a day I'll have with me for the rest of my life," he said.

"The icing on the cake, the big shebang, was I got down on one knee and proposed to my longtime girlfriend," he shared. "And she said yes."

As the thousands who'd descended upon the nation's capital chanted "We Got The Cup!" in ecstasy, Josh trembled, with a mix of glee and nerves.

"I thought I was cool as a cucumber until I was going into my spiel," he said. "And I could see in her face, 'Oh, another one of Josh's sports rants.'

"And I said, 'No. What I'm trying to say...' I got down on one knee, '...is will you marry me?'"

"And both of us were just overcome with emotion," he added. "I mean, it caught me off guard. But, I mean, wow. What a special day."

The surrounding Caps fans took notice of Josh's special moment, he says. "They broke into, 'She got the ring! She got the ring!'

"So, I mean, it was just so cool, man. A day I'll never forget."
