The Redskins have made a pair of hires in the business office, Scott Shepherd and Ryan Calvo, a source tells 106.7 The Fan's Craig Hoffman. These are the first reported hires since the departure of a trio of business executives, including COO Brian Lafemina, last month.

Both Shepherd and Calvo were hired away from Guest Services, a management services company, and were previous Redskins employees.

Shepherd served as a Senior Vice President for the Redskins between Feb. 2008 and June 2015, and has also worked for the Minnesota Vikings and the NHL's Tampa Bay Lightning and Columbus Blue Jackets. He has served as Vice President/Chief Commercial Officer for Guest Services for the last 3.5 years. Shepherd specialized in corporate partnerships and government relations for the Redskins.

Calvo also worked in corporate partnerships – first as a manager (March 2015-Oct. 2015) and then as a director (Oct. 2015-Aug. 2016) – for the Redskins from March 2015-Aug.2016. He departed for Guest Services, as Manager, Business Development in Aug. 2016 and was promoted to Director, Partnership Development, a role he's held since Jan. 2018.

Their new positions with the Redskins are unclear at this time. The Redskins declined to comment on their hirings.
