Some potentially great news on the injury front of the Capitals, Evgeny Kuznetsov, who left Game 2 of the Stanley Cup Final against the Vegas Golden Knights in the first period with an apparent arm injury, was on the ice at Kettler Capitals Iceplex for practice Friday morning.

Originally said to have an "upper-body" injury, coach Barry Trotz said Thursday Kuznetsov was listed as "day-to-day." Video provided by 106.7 The Fan's Chris Russell shows Kuznetsov skating freely and handling the puck, easing concerns of a more serious arm injury that could limit his ability.

Kuznetsov has not been medically cleared to play, but the team says he'll be a "game-time decision."

"He's one of our top guys, and of course it's very important to see him skating," Ovechkin said Friday. "I'm pretty sure he's gonna be okay tomorrow."

The Caps and Golden Knights are tied 1-1 in the Stanley Cup Final. Game 3 is scheduled for 8 p.m. at Capital One Arena.
