Wizads forward Markieff Morris will miss the next six weeks due to transient cervical neuropraxia, the team announced Thursday.

Morris has been dealing with neck and upper back stiffness since taking a blow to the chin during a game against the Lakers Dec. 16, reaggravating the injury 10 days later against the Pistons.

Morris went to see a specialist in Dallas, Tx. Wednesday, who diagnosed his injury. He will be limited to non-contact basketball activities for the next six weeks.

This news continues the Wizards' bad luck with injuries. The team announced John Wall will undergo season-ending heel surgery on Saturday, while Dwight Howard is still out after undergoing surgery on his back a month ago.

Morris has played in 34 games this season, averaging 11.5 points and 5.1 rebounds per game.
